Oakland

Merging souls and leaving my earrings on your bedside table

Your window is cracked open, the curtain gently dancing with the cold night air

You’ve shut off the light allowing the street lamps outside to provide the warm glow on our skin

We whisper for hours, giggling at the goosebumps I get when you drag the tips of your fingers down my back

I’m falling asleep to the sound of your voice lost in sharing a memory

Your voice caresses me to sleep

And I can’t wait to see you in the morning
